So I'm new to radar detectors and live about 20 miles west of Boston. I snowboard in southern and central NH (Waterville, Loon, etc) and will be traveling up and down (largely along 93) frequently and want to know what to expect/look out for. Should I be expecting tricky Staties shooting Ka IO or just a lot of cops running K band CO? Much laser usage along 93? Any experiences or knowledge would be useful. I'm just looking to get an idea of how much I can rely on my X50 for a heads up.
Also any info on general use around MA and southern NH would be very useful. If I'm driving on back roads should be making sure there's a car 1/4 mile ahead that will give me a warning of IO or do most local cops run with CO (specifically in my area west of Boston)?
