Law enforcement officers issued 38,032 speeding tickets earlier this month during a statewide crackdown, the Highway Patrol said today.
During Operation Slow Down/No Need 2 Speed, Highway Patrol troopers and local officers targeted speeders on the state's highways. According to the patrol, troopers issued 18,557 citations and local police issued 19,475.
The operation ran from March 30 to April 12.
