    Default Ka Drones???

I know it's technically possible but has anyone encountered a confirmed drone on Ka band?

I encountered a Ka Band Speed Sign in my Local Town here in Valley Center, CA. CHP puts them out from time to time for a few hours and then picks them up. They are very rare though, most of the time when Ka goes off, the real CHP is waiting to bust someone.

Never seen a Ka drone in the Phoenix area. Lots of X drones thrown out in the middle of nowhere to freak out people with crappy detectors to go with a few K drones thrown around town. All the speed signs I've encountered here are K-band.

If I get a Ka band hit out here, I slow down. My X50 has never (that I can be sure of) falsed on Ka.

i think i may have come across some type of ka drone on my trip to Cali.

i was on I-8 near the dunes ( just inside Cali border from Arizona) and i picked up a sudden strong burst of ka to the front.

the strange thing is that besides the fact there was no LEO around that i could see, my rear antenna stayed quiet. anytime i get hit with ka or even k, from the front , as it gets closer my rear antenna always picks it up. this was a full ka blast, yet the rear antenna was silent.

coming back that same way a few days later the same thing happened. going opposite direction i get a weak ka followed by an abrupt full ka. again the rear stayed quiet.

i had other legit encounters on the trip and everything worked as usual, so i'm not sure what to think. :?

I have seen both k and ka drones in Florida. Along the highway parallel to the ocean. You will have it constantly going off..I will try to find out what the highway is called. You can go from Ft. Walton Beach all the way to Panama City...

    Default Ka drones

    pgb2,
I encountered a "confirmed" Ka drone westbound on the Pa turnpike. It was, or still is, between King of P and Downingtown. I will be through there again this week. If I see it, I will advise.
