    Default Trip To Atlanta

So I will be attending the next Atlanta Jammerfest and was wondering what I should be on the look out for. i will take 61/319 from Tallahassee to 75 then onto Atlanta. I have X-band shut off currently should I turn it back on and also does anyone in GA run POP

No POP but it's rumored there is still some x band in GA. I have never run across any but who knows?

Once you get within about 50 miles of Atlanta laser becomes the predominant speed enforcement tool.

But even with laser lets not forget that the average flow of traffic is 15-20 over the PSL on the highways so most cops aren't speed nazis through there.

X in Milledgeville and Oglethorpe Ga. They have some old Crown Vics. that they use for speed enforcement. I've never seen it on the interstate except a false at the National Fairground in Perry on I-75 and another false from the Brosnan rail yard in Macon on I-16.

Speeding is a crapshoot on I-75. I'll pick up a trap, slow down and move over while traffic blows by me like I'm standing still. I know they're being clocked, and I'll see the brake checks but no one gets pulled over...

You'll probably get Lidar hits from Perry all the way to ATL.

Your CB will be your best defense on 75!

YOU WISH - you are never alone around here. i was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on 85 the other night at 11:30 P.M.
super speeder = Revenue Generation. No worries. SOP around here.
be careful for laser - of course if your coming for the jammer test - hopefully that wont be a problem.

Atlanta traffic is worse than NYC. I think only Houston (or is it Dallas-Ft Worth) and LA traffic is worse than Atlanta's.

You're rarely alone, even at 3 am, on interstates in Atlanta. You can be driving 90 at 3 am thinking you're moving it along and before you know it, you're overtaken by a car driving 100.

Speaking of that, I think I heard a cop on Speeders refer to I-280 (or whatever it's called) as the "Atlanta Autobahn". Have any of you heard that?!?!

GA 400 and when it's moving it's not unusual to see cars running over 100.
