Are there real X band threats in Ontario?

Does anyone have been really facing X band threats in Ontario?

kpatz listings stated that X band are used there, but after a few thousands miles driving in northern Ontario, no confirmed encounters were anything else than K an Ka and a few lasers. I was keeping on the X band alert according to that listing, but if I no one can confirm me that it's still a real threat there, I'll seriously consider turning it off avoiding 70% of all false alerts there.

Northern Ontario still uses X band radar. Just drive on route 11 from Barrie to North Bay and you should find it. Not sure about route 17 from Ottawa to Sudbury? But I would still have it turned on in Northern Ontario/Quebec as it's still a very useful radar gun. Good luck and please keep me posted if/when you run into legit x band radar in Northern Ontario?

I've been driving route 17 many times and never faced X band radar threats. But thanks for the info, I'll keep my eyes and RD aware of it.
