I was driving on hwy 9 leaving Newmarket this afternoon. Heading westbound. Saw a York traffic Cop standing behind a 5 x 5 mini billboard. He was shooting traffic coming in to town (east) Not a word of a lie, I wish I had my camcorder with me; he's standing fully behind the sign, sticks his white LA about 4" above the sign and shoots the traffic coming at him. They recently dropped the speed limit there from an 80 km to a 60 km zone. I couldn't believe what a knob he was. There is no way in hell, anyone, could see him. He had his cruiser parked about 30' away from his location. Of course, within 5 secs of watching him pick off sheep, he jumped in the middle of the road (4 lanes of traffic) to nail a Honda Odessey Minivan. Are they that desperate? Totally pathetic! Does anyone know the law about visibility for traffic enforcement? I always thought in Ontario their vehicle (for radar at least) had to be partially visible when nailing speeders.
