Default Another MA unmarked: silver Ford Taurus on 190

190 is starting to become one of my least favorite roads ever. I saw another unmarked state trooper on my way home, this time a silver Taurus. If he hadn't been lit up like a christmas tree behind his victim I never would have thought it was a cop.

I think I saw that Taurus yesterday. I was on I-90 from MA to NY, and then on the NY Thruway. I saw a silver Taurus with a car pulled over somewhere on the trip, but I don't recall now if it was in MA or NY...

I don't own a Taurus but my brother's wife does, and let me tell you, those 24 valve v6's will definitely surprise you. I drove the car once and could light up the tires for several seconds at stop lights. The highway was even more impressive. That thing would pull pretty hard and before you know it you are over 100mph with plenty of pedal left. I can definitely see why police departments are adopting these vehichles as unmarks. I always thought of the Taurus as a grocery getter or the car that the local soccer mom drove, but let me tell you, the soccer mom would be able to compete pretty competitively in a street race.

    Default Stop Taurus Bashing! JK

If he had my taurus you guys would all be in trouble. I have a 99 Ford Taurus SHO with a 3.4l V8 with performance mods etc. Sounds mean, and shes fairly fast. 0-60 in 6.5 range, and its more of a highway car than a drag racer. She really shines on the highway, loves to run to 100 or more. Did that on the 401 in canada, with light traffic and fairly dry flat straight roads, I know someone will say 100 is too fast, but the conditions were right IMO and I do not have 1 at fault accident in my 8 years of driving (fast).
