    Default Traffic Info

Here's a website that may be of help to get traffic info. I didn't know this info could be picked up by XM Radios

    http://www.traffic.com/

Looks like the same cities that XM has info for.

Yep. It says it is provided to XM and other reception services. I was hoping for more info like police hotspots and many more areas such as NC major cities and highways.

Ahh...sorry. I misread your post and thought that it was a question and not a statement. My bad.

An accurate database of police hotspots would be a useful tool. Even though moving patrols are the norm in the US, it helps to know where the usual "sit and wait" spots are. Having that kind of information in the back of of my head saves a lot of stress on my frequently travelled routes.

No doubt. VASHP is taking advantage of writing people up for using the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on I-66 for having only driver occupants again. Location: between I-495 on/off ramps westbound away from D.C.

7 VASHP cars set up at one spot yesterday and had about 12 cars pulled. Up to $1,000.00 fine I think it is. What a payday and what a waste of patrol time and good taxpaid highway. How can they expect only HOV cars to be the ONLY thing on this road?

I forgot: This is D.C. and Virginia..."TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION"

    We have representation in Virginia.

    For HOV:
You can get a dumby to sit in the passenger seat next to you. Works very well if you have LEGALLY tinted windows. Don't forget to put the sun visor down for the dumby too if you are driving into the sun. If you don't put the visor down and you have yours down that might be a give away to a very observant cop.

You sure do have rep in VA. You got a lottery . N.C. has Jesse Helms.

My partner that I work with said the same thing, stealth. Yesterday he played dummy (wasn't hard to do) but all of the VASHPs were too busy to notice. I thought about the dummy trick and it'd be just my luck they'd look close enough. Traffic speed was a good 2mph.

Already ahead of you on the window tint and visors, always down.
