    Default NH Lidar binoculars

Yep, I said binoculars. Saw a pair being used in Concord, NH and one by the bridge in Hooksett, NH on 93 south. Two troopers parked at a 45 one facing north other south, one had a pair of binoculars only they were not binoculars, they looked similar to laser atlanta's speed laser B's.

Warmer weather is fast approaching, looks like they have new toys to play with! Someone's gotta pay for the highway widening project

So a Speedlaser B or possibly a prolite, but not binoculars. The Prolites aren't supposed to be any harder than the PLIIIs to jam so I'm not too worried about those, curious to hear how the countermeasures preform against the Speedlaser B, though I'm expecting similar results to the Speedlaser S

The Prolite is a different animal & can own ANY jammer on the market today if used right. It might look the same through the HUD as a PL3, but the low power gives jammers fits, even the LI.

Does not give me any problems at all. Actually it did not give anyone at our last MOAC test very much of a problem either.

Intriguing, because much of the testing I've heard it was easily pwned. And it is used just down the street and the Truspeed is used in my area frequently too (just not by the locals). I was actually under the impression that all the internals were the same, just the casing wast shifted and interface altered. I'd be interested in more info if you want to CC it. And I gotta admit, until I saw it in use last month, I sort of wrote it off as something I'd likely never see locally so I haven't dug up the manuals for it yet.

Was the encounter in Concord on the highway (93) by state troopers? Or do the locals have them now?

Also, 93 doesn't run through Merrimack. Are you thinking of the Everett Turnpike / Route 3?

I'll have to keep an eye out. I have an LI so I can give a positive ID if I come across one. I would guess Prolite though since NHSP has Pro IIIs, so they probably have a contract with Kustom. Unfortunately my commute takes me through a congested stretch of 93 that is rarely "speed trapped" and usually is running at/below PSL anyway.

A friend of mine was lasered on 101 recently, but it was shot out the cruiser's side window and he couldn't see the gun being used.

Here's some pics to make it possible to ID "binocular" guns:

    Kustom ProLite

    LA Speedlaser B

The two guns are pretty distinct so IDing them shouldn't be difficult. The LA-B is oval shaped with a flat side, 2 different size lenses and gray with a distinct eyepiece (like a sideways Speedlaser S), while the ProLite is a darker gray/black, same-sized lenses and the eyepiece more like a compact camera viewfinder, and more rectangular in shape.

So, start watching those guns when you encounter them!
