Default Connecticut License Plate and Cover Laws

I have been researching the laws regarding license plates and covers in Connecticut. I found what I was looking for so I'll post it here in case anyone else needs this information.

A violation of either statute carries a $93 fine. Ouch. ops:

No laser shield for you! Have you still got it on your plates?

Default got a laser shield on my front

also it is partially obscured by my ez pass. if you cannot use the shield, you can still paint the plate lightly with some veil. that and an active shifter, blinder should do the trick.

The laser shield is staying on my front plate since it's really difficult to see unless you look for it specifically. I just can't put the Veil'd cover on top of it because it's so obvious. It's too bad because I'm convinced that the protection from that particular combination would be outstanding.

Yes, I agree, it would be a great combo. That's why I did a post about Missouri Rules on plates. I was inspired by your post and wondered what others thought.

    Default I did both....

Living on the southeast coast of CT...I put a very light coat of veil on my front plate...just enough to take away the reflection. Put it on the car and put a lasershield on top of that. Veil on the lights and the chrome audi symbol. Those new audi grills are a bullseye for the leos. I have had this combo for 3-4 months now and not had a problem. it is winter, and most plates are dirty anyway. I have only been lasered once, where i was definitely about 15 over and did not get a ticket. my x-50 is very low, i hit the brakes immediately and did not get pulled over. My guess is he was hitting my plate and could not get a erading till I slowed down....I would recommend to try a very fine coat of veil on the front plate under the lasershield.....
