Going into the Lion's Den
Wish me luck, got a vacation trip to AZ next week, flying into Phoenix and then driving down to near Tucson. I am hoping to come back without incident.
Planning on taking my V1, got my TomTom all updated with the latest cameras and speed traps information and will have the wife's iphone on with trapster running.
If that does not save me besides just driving slow I am not sure what will.
Re: Going into the Lion's Den
Got back unscathed...
But I tell you not sure how people deal with driving out there with so many police on the roads. I saw more highway patrol in 90 miles stretch of Highway 10 then I seen on my entire 300 mile drive on the PA turnpike.
Saw 5 or 6 stationary Speed cameras and 3 mobile speed cameras. They seem to randomly place red light camera around as well, it did not seem like there was any reason to have a camera on one intersection and not another. I am not sure if they move them around since trapster alerted to cameras which the intersection obviously did not have one or it was really well hidden but most all I did see had a warning sign of their presents.
I will say one thing no one seem to speed or at least they kept it not much more than 5 over. They surely go people well trained there must be the reason AZ is now loosing money on the deal.
They were real Nazis about speed enforcement out there that was for sure. Did get to see two pat dawns and possible arrest on the road as well. AZ must be a real dangerous place to live that is for sure...
