Holy s**t the MA staties are out!!!

I've lived in MA quite a while and seen my fair shair of speeding blitz's but I've NEVER seen them this high of profile before. My guess is it is due to all the staties who have been getting hit by idiots. In the last two days I have literally seen twenty speedtraps. All the roads I drive on, Pike, 495, 2, 190, 290, and 3!! Laser of all sorts, Laser Atlantas, Ultralytes, they clearly had so many guns checked out they had to dig deep in the closet and even found a LTI Marksman! On top of that KA, K, I/O, C/O, plus move over law. A few videos to follow sometime tomorrow...

Where exactly are you?

I'm near Boston, so I frequent the I-95 and I-93 (I live right near the crossing of the two) - and I haven't seen many Staties at all (except when they help road workers).

I did however, just 10 mins ago, run into a local cop (Burlington department) right outside of my apartment. C/O it seems. I came around a hill, and K-band came on 4/10 on my Whistler 695. I'm like "WTF"- there' no false zone there, and no police right ahead of me - and none behind me. I slowed down to like 10mph (to look for the LEO, as I was like 50ft away from my apartment driveway turn) - in the 30 zone... Then the GF saw him behind some shrubs.. sneaky SOB. He was facing my lane of traffic, head on, with a slight angle. Prolly a good place to get people going 40.

Also... maybe it's those non-existent end of the month quotas? For the Staties...

I think the more appropriate question is where wasn't I today.... I did Boston to Westfield along with quite a bit of back and forth inbetween. The reason you don't see them on 95 or 93 is they value their life and don't want to get run over by three lanes of idiots.

I, too, witnessed an abnormal level of radar use along my normal path today. Three Ka units spotted in less than 5 minutes. One was hiding, the other two were rolling.

I don't. I'd rather see speed traps, since the presence of them generally means that speeding is an actual possibility.

NH-Manchester-Salem commute along the most outdated stretch that exists on 93. It's rare to break 75, and then it's only for about 10 seconds. No need for speed traps.

I was on it yesterday. Lots of people going 80 in the 55. No Staties whatsoever, though.

Although it may seem like it on the Lowell Connector (mainly locals), do you realize they aren't out there 24/7? Just because you didn't see them doesn't mean they weren't there at other times.....

Generally speaking there isn't much speed enforcement during commute time for obvious reasons, they tend to patrol midday, or after commute time.

I'm not suggesting I expect to see them there all the time?!

It's a good, straight stretch of road that's probably ideal for LIDAR enforcement, so I'm surprised I haven't encountered any there ever, though I'm on the lookout every time - and I go there fairly frequently (few times a week).

I'm usually there right before commute time in the afternoon (2-3PM).
