I was reading a different forum on speeding tickets and a guy who lives in Texas stated that he got arrested for SPEEDING 90 in a 70 on I-40 in Lebanon, TN? I am a native of TN and I know for a fact that, as of the present time, Tennessee does NOT have a statuatory X miles over the limit is reckless driving like Virginia does. Can anyone confirm or deny this. I live in CO now, but occasionally drive back home to visit family in eastern TN and I don't want to end up wearing the silver bracelets because of a stupid speeding infraction. I know that there is a risk of getting a ticket from speeding, but that seems a little bit rediculous to make an arrest for speeding alone especially when it isn't in the triple digits yet AND when Tennessee does not have a "20 miles over the limit is reckless driving statute". Maybe that guy wasn't telling the whole story though. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
