After a friends recent encounter with FHP airplance enforcement, TPAS/TCAS systems that Switch 626 installed and a really boring day at work....It seemed like a good idea to document locations of the road marking used by the FHP pilots.
I've started a list of locations and have recorded them in Excel. I used Google Earth and Maps to generate exact locations of the road markings. My plan is to load them into the GPS once the database is more complete.
So Florida forum members, please give me locations rodd markings/active airplane traps you have encountered. The more specific information the better. If possible, the Lat/Lon coordinates. If the trap is for a southbound lane, give the northernmost location of the first white line. Here is what I have so far. I haven't even looked at I-4, I-10, I-95, the Turnpike or I-75 North of Tampa.
(Wish the forum allowed me to post excel documents.)
