For those of you who missed my post sometime ago - it was basically a 'lack' of enforcement on Florida Interstates and Turnpike from Florida Keys north to Melbourne area. I just made this trip again and same thing - a few staties here and there, perhaps 4-5 alerts with one parked LEO, but that was 6 hours of driving round trip. I was able to keep 85-90 on the Florida Turnpike once I got away from the Miami traffic. No enforcement from Miami all the way to my exit in Palm Bay. The only thing in the way of making good speeds in this state is the serious and noticeable problem of left-laners going at or below speed limit, clueless. I ended up passing on right a dozen times, not my usual mode but had to modify driving style here. In most of the west, if a left-laner gets cars stacking up behind them, they (excluding SoCal drivers) will move over, but not here.
