    Default South East Florida

I noticed in parts of Davie that they're putting up red light cameras now..

Has anyone noticed any new sightings in their area?

They definitely are. They are already present in Pembroke Pines, Hialeah, Miami, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.

I use a Cheetah C50 and Trapster to stay informed of the red light cameras (among other things). The nice thing about the C50 is that it also warns of airborne speed traps, but really only the line locations. The data is old though, but I just realized that I can pull the coordinates from the marked locations from the C50, so I will start reporting updates on VASCAR lines back to Cheetah in the near future.

If you go with detector that has GPS, it will also warn you of RLCs. The Trinity database used by Cheetah and the Defender database used by Belscort are both good for RLCs.

Yeah I saw a couple in Pembroke Pines and Miami. The ones in Davie they just put up a few weeks ago. Not sure if they've been active yet or not but I guess one way to find out is to run the light and watch for the flash haha. I have the C50 too. I used to have the Escort 9500ix as well before I decided to try the V1. I've noticed that there were areas the 9500ix alerted me of rlc's that the C50 doesn't. Might have to email Cheetah about those camera locations. But the C50 still works great.

Here is an article an updated article on the rlc's in Broward/Miami-Dade counties: Red-light cameras aren’t the bonanza cities expected - South Florida - MiamiHerald.com
