So ive only been running a RD for a few months now, started with a soloS2 and bought a v995 when i got tired of batteries dying.

1. With each of them the K-band traffic sensors around columbus got annoying and since ive never encountered a cop running K, I have disabled K until the time that I upgrade to one with an GPS lockout. Has anyone encountered a K-band cop in this area?

2. my drive is almost all highway, and about half the times i see cops im not getting alerts. now i do have the RD mounted high so is it most likely that im just not picking the laser?

3. this one is more random but on occasion i drive by this electronic billboard and it sets off Xband.. then i noticed it has objects that look like cameras on them.. any ideas?

Kband is used tons. Sheriffs and Staties.

So far every Sheriff ive passed has been running X.

You can turn it off if you want but I see K band alot.

I would still feel uncomfortable about turning off K band. While Highway Patrol runs X-band/laser almost all of the locals run K band (around Cincinnati anyway). Does that RD not have TSR?

I have not seen an xband sheriff in years.

radar detectors are no cop detectors. The V995 is a fine unit and it will pick up radar like any other "M4" detectors Belscort has. The cops may not have their radar switched on or they are in a speed trap position but are selectively turning on their guns until they can estimate a speeder. For laser it can be hit or miss especially with the Belscort detectors. If you are mounted high there are good chances it will miss closer lidar shots.
