Default Bill to repeal Virginia radar detector ban

A bill was introduced in the Virginia General Assembly House of Delegates to repeal the Virginia Radar Detector Ban (HB 2079).

If this passes, I'll have to change my name on here.

That's nice. VA needs to lighten up with their Draconian traffic laws especially when it comes to their classifications of reckless driving. The influence of Fairfax county needs to be weaned as the proxy of DC influence.

Personally, I hope they keep it the way it is. (illegal)

Pass it and were going to get a bunch of crappy radar detectors driving up and down interstate 95.

The state has less then a dozen radar detectors in Virginia.

Virginia residents thinking that they are going to jail for having the detector or jammers is a good
    thing.

Cops in Northern Virginia that use lidar are smart enough to know about jammers so most of
the time they use lidar they wait tell your right on top of them.

    After further reflection,

It's all part of the game.

If this passes, I'll have to change my name on here.

Update: This bill is dead...House Transportation Subcommittee recommends laying on the table (4-Y 1-N).

Radar Detectors will remain illegal in Virginia
