I'll be making the move to Florida this summer (Orlando) and I just bought a V1 for it...I'll be driving 10 miles on I-4 everyday to work, I hear I 4 is pig alley, is it true? I currently have a zr3 shifter and the valentine...what do you guys think?
Based on the traffic reports and traffic cam shots I see on TV in the morning, you might have trouble breaking the speed limit on parts of I-4! (stop and go traffic)

Hi... Dade County here (Miami Gardens/Opa Locka), and I'm looking for the best way to beat tickets! I'm still trying to decide whether buying a radar detector or a laser jammer or both. I don't know if FHP or police cars use laser guns or radar guns. I've read everything about both devices, and I'm still confused about! (well, because I'm new into this). I use to drive most on 826 (EB/WB), 836 (EB/WB), I-95 (N/S) expressways, and Turnpike (N/S).
Also, I have a Sunpass toll transceiver. Do radar detectors interfere both the transceiver and the toll receiver? (I don't know if they all share the same frequency).
And last question: Is it a good idea to conceal those devices, or there's no problem having them on the dashboard and/or windshields, and if policemen care about them? I know that FL didn't prohibit radar detectors yet (thank God!), but it's not clear, so I wouldn't want to make things worse ops:
Thanks in advance for your help!

If you had to choose between the two, I'd get the radar detector. I've never personally seen an FHP laser trap, though I know they exist. You'll find the detect much more useful, for now. FHP use Ka Stalker guns, FYI.
The Sunpass and radar detectors do not interfere with each other. Sometimes, though, when going through some of the toll booths, your radar detector may go off on laser.
You really shouldn't have a problem displaying your radar detector. It's a generally held idea that most LEOs do not like radar detectors, but they really can't tell you anything(except maybe laugh at it if they do pull you over.) Personally, I wouldn't be putting it in plain sight much. Then people might use you as a rabbit Also, when parked someplace, make sure to take it down to deter theft and to protect it from heat.

If you're taking the interstates, watch out since FHP will probably be out in full force.
Just a preference, but I'd switch to Spec mode. Since there are probably going to be more car on the road...cars with cheap radar detectors. You'll want to know if the Ka hit you just got was a true threat (34.7 from FHP) or just a cheap radar.
Where in Orlando are going heading to? (If you don't mind saying)

Watch Out 4 Tonz of FHP and Officerz All Over the Place. Wit Memorial Weekend They've Got Tonz of Officerz Out and Around. I Saw a Cop Pull a Guy Over 2day, Make Him Get Outta the Car, Handz on the Vehicle, etc. All 4 Simply Going Past the White Linez of the Crosswalk. Then I Saw Another Cop Pulling Some1 Over Right Down the Street. Be Careful Bro...
I'm not sure where in Orlando yet. My friend is fighting in a Sanshou tournament up there and a friend and I are his corner man. We were suppose to leave today but I've got a graduation to attend. So it's going to be a long drive for me to Orlando then back a lil bit after the tournament.
My radar is already set to spec mode. So far it's only Whistlers that I've caught giving me falses.
