Updates for Greenville, SC
Highway 25N, from Travelers Rest to the NC border.
SCHP is frequently on the section of 25N from TR until the NC state line. Greenville County traffic units also are active, at times, along 25N (near SC11 and up) although I don't believe they routinely patrol all the way to the state line.
Interstate 85, north and south, from Woodruff Road to I-185 interchange.
The above section of I-85 is very popular with both Greenville County traffic units and SCHP. There is one (GCSO traffic unit) in particular that monitors the area almost daily, usually at the noon hour.

Update...
Enforcement on I-85N between White Horse Rd and the I-385 interchange has slowed down considerably. The officer that used to work that stretch almost daily (in the blue unmarked Impala) seems to no longer be w/ the traffic division. As far as I can tell (in having to drive through that area several times a week), there has not been anyone to replace him.
Still have to watch out for the SCHP in the area, but they are busy working wrecks so often times they are nowhere in sight. Greenville City is out a little at times running laser, but they are usually further up near Laurens Rd or even down near the I-385 interchange.

Re: Greenville, SC
Greenville County traffic units (unmarked Impalas) have been out again heavier than usual on I-85. They have been all the way from where I-185 comes in to I-85 on up to the county line at I-85 and Highway 14. Instead of parking in one location, they seem to just roam up and down the interstate. I'm not sure why they all of the sudden started liking I-85 again...
Other locations that are popular with the county traffic units are any and all school zones. They especially love the school zones in the vicinity of Brushy Creek Rd and Old Spartanburg Rd. Another popular one is Mitchell Rd, off of E North St, near Shady Ln. The limit is 25mph at certain times of the day, and it is incredibly easy to exceed that limit!
Also, as I said awhile back, Greenville City has a couple of unmarked Dodge Chargers (a couple white ones and a couple black ones) and I have recently seen those vehicles hanging out on I-385 southbound in between Haywood Rd and Roper Mountain Rd. They were sitting on the shoulder, so not very concealed, but the vehicles do have dark tint and are not obvious if you aren't looking for them.

Re: Greenville, SC

GCSO traffic officer was camped out for a couple hours this morning on I-85N in a dark blue unmarked Crown Vic. He was parked parallel to traffic in the grass right before the guard rail. Not sure what he was shooting, but would guess radar. Watch for roaming GCSO traffic officers on I-85 all the way from Highway 153 (Anderson County line) to Highway 14 (Spartanburg County line.) Any weekdays from 0700-1530 are fair game, as well as Wednesday through Saturday nights.

Re: Greenville, SC
I can never find them on the weekends. If I get bored I throw the video camera in the Vette and make some spirited runs up 85 from Anderson on the weekends, never have I run across anything. Is there a time on the weekends they seem to be out more than others?

Re: Greenville, SC
On the weekends, they have a weird schedule. They work like 2p-2a on Fri night, and then the same on Saturday night. Your best chances of catching them are probably on a Saturday afternoon from maybe 3 or 4p on. Their favorite Saturday place is definitely where I-185 comes into I-85 going NB. They will shoot laser from off to the right just beyond the bridge.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) GCSO has the whole county to patrol as far as traffic enforcement goes, so there are a whole lot of other areas besides the interstate. They seem to rotate, like one day they'll work north end of the county, one day the south end, etc.
I'll try and pm you next time I know they are working that area. They talk a lot on the county channel, so it's easy to figure out all the traffic stop locations.

Re: Greenville, SC
And here is the police car graveyard =D

The tan Impala is one of several that the traffic unit recently retired.
