Default Indiana State Police Mustangs

Indiana State Police are now using Mustang GTs for traffic enforcement.

Here is a link with the details and a picture:

http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dl...0002/1001/NEWS

They claim to be using them on rural two lane roads more than interstates.

Can anyone tell from the picture, which you can zoom in on, what radar that is? I am thinking Golden Eagle II Ka but the antenna lens is black so I am not so sure. Their newer cruisers have the Golden Eagles in them.

For the most part they are not using radar at all. They wait for you to pass them or do something stupid, pace you, and pull you over. There are also completely unmarked explorers rolling around as well. i have seen them on I-65 (between indianapolis and lafayette), I-69 (north of fort wayne), and IN37 (between Indianapolis and bloomington).

I have had a couple encounters on I-70 between IL line and Indianapolis with them. Both times they were using Ka instant-on. They are really hard to spot and blend in with traffic very well.

Yes , Yes and Yes... their is a black Mustang (well looking) and heavily equipped .... i have been keeping an eye on this one for quiet some time .. mostly they can be spotted on 94 (portage) (Valparaiso ) only on 55 mph zone via Indiana .

When ever i have seen this officer , he has pulled some one over ...

so this is true ...

Detection equipment carry some risk of dependency. Do not stare at V1 arrows for an extended period of time without consulting with your doctor.
