Default RX-65 or 8500x50 for bike

The falses from my V1 are a pain. I have it mounted remotely, and the audio is piped into the bike's audio system.

I was thinking of an RX-65 because it has voice alerts for the different bands, and it has less falsing. *BUT* the Visual Alert LEDs (http://www.marcparnes.com/Visual_Alert.htm) work only work with the BEL Pro's, but they do work with the X50.

Does anyone have any real world experience?

Thanks for your help, it's greatly appreciated.

    Rick

f 399 has it right... the X50 (BLUE) is hands-down the best motorcycle detector there is.

I have a R65 mounted on the right side of the handle bars....

IMO the posistion of the laser portion of the detector is better for a bike..

I've been using a V1 in the fairing pocket, but the range is greatly reduced. I've got to get it "out in the open", but in a way that it's not thief bait. Since the 65 and 8500 are smaller, hopefully I'll be able to do it.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Depending on the the cockpit of your bike I used to velcro my rx-65 to the brake reservoir wiring into the bike is a no brainer after heated grips and vest, gps, additional lites, power commander, magnum horns, etc etc
