    Default VIZALERT in production

    Guys,

Vizalert production has started and will be on the market very soon.

Works with all the leading radar detectors and laser jammers at the same time. (Including the RX65 and STi.)

Different colored alerts for different radar bands and laser alerts

Different flash rates as the signal strength increases.

Helmet receiver is waterproof and can be used on all helmet types.

Light sensitive for automatic dimming at night.

    Motion senstive.

If you don't want to have anything on your helmet you can even mount the Vizalert receiver on the bike's instrument cluster. (It was recently tested, mounted on a naked bike, in full arizona sunshine and passed with flying colors!)

I'll be working on some demo videos early next week to let you see what's coming.

And yes, Roy will be stocking them.............

I think you're going to enjoy!!!

    Al

Will this work back and forth between different detectors? Or is there a different conector/interface for each detector? I currently have an 8500, and havent decided what new detector i want yet. i dont want to get the vizalert for the 8500 and find out later it wont work with a different detector.

OK, what we try to do with all Cheetah stuff is make it modular. That way you only need to buy the parts that you need for your own tailored set up and if you decide to change something you only need to update part of the Cheetah kit and not the whole thing.

When you order a VIZALERT, you have to specify which make and model of radar detector you want it to work with. This is so the dealer can make sure that the radar detector interface part of the Vizalert kit that you are buying has the correct connecting cable and RDI software card for your detector. We have little plug-in software cards for each detector.

When you order your Vizalert from Roy, specify the 8500 and you'll ge the right software card for the X50's. Then, when you come to upgrade your radar detector in the future, you don't have to buy a new Vizalert, or even a new radar detector interface. All you'll need is a new, very cheap RDI software card (RDI stands for "Radar Detector Interface.")

Occassionaly you may also need a different connector cable. For example, the V1 has a different connector cable for our radar detector interface compared to the Bel/Escorts but the STi would use the same cable as your 8500.

This is one of the things I'm grateful to the GOL team for letting me test out and show working.

The laser jammer interface for the Vizalert (or GPS mirror or ActiveStealth) will work with the following jammers:

    Blinder M20 / M40 (all versions)
    Laser Pro Park
    AntiLaser ALG8
Laser Defender (the one from Hungary)
    Target LT400
    Lidatek LE30

Regarding the Laser Interceptor, I saw the manufacturer's sample in action for the first time at GOL. I do not even have a sample of it yet so I cannot say if it will work or what it needs to make it work with any of our products. Once I have a sample, my engineers can do some tests to see what is invovled and if it is technically possible or not but these things take time so I can't give any timescales.

If there is enough of a demand to have a new product integrated then any manufacturer will tell you the same thing; Anything is possible - it's only a question of time and money!

Hopefully given the history the principal has with AL there will be some similarities in design
