didn't your x50 come with two power sources. for the bike, you may need to hardwire the connectors (doesn't necessarily mean the radar cannot be taken off the bike and placed in the card). use the coiled cord in the car.Originally Posted by speederX50
i don't know of any other way to power from your bike unless you have or install a 12v outlet. hardwire hardware is cheap; $10 on ebay.
Hell....... you can hardwire with a phone cord. The simplest way is to attach it to your battery. It does unplug from the cord mate
You also need to think about a mount which are not necessarily cheap
Got a question about the Direct Wire Cord for $10 on Escorts website. The phone line connecter plugs into the detector and the two other wires you hook up to the battery terminal directly is that how that works?
Yes or you could tap into another circuit and ground but to the battery is foolproof well 50 / 50Originally Posted by speederX50
I went straight to the battery on my CBR929. Bought the wire kit from eBay. Works great!
Alright thx im going to order the direct wire cord from Escort and the mount from Techmounts.
that's what i got, a techmount for my x50. works great. i actually had to email them back and forth and send pictures to get the right mount.Originally Posted by speederX50
