Hi all, I have been lurking for some time and finally decided to register to get some insight.
I own a 2001 Suzuki SV650s that I am interested in hooking my V1 up to. I am thinking about keeping the V1 in my tank bag, which puts it high enough to get a full range of view to the front (minus the fabric, but it does reach the clear windshield) so that it will be protected from the elements and concealed. I would hard wire it to the bikes electronics and use a ear phone to hear the signal. I don't want to be connected to the bike by a wire though. One idea is to purchase a blue tooth transmitter, so I can send the audio wirelessly to a blue tooth headset in my helmet. Has anyone done this, and could perhaps recommend some good bluetooth transmitters?
The method my Dad uses on his BMW R1100RT is having the V1 mounted just above the dash on a accessory mounting plate, and just turning the audio up high. Works for him because that bike has a fairing so you can hear it, and its high enough to glance down on. With my sport bike, I would have to glance down and lose more of the road from my direct line of sight.
