    Default Overkill?

I personally think that a detector on a motorcycle is a stupid idea. Maybe it is because I do not like motorcycles

Have you ever driven a motorcycle?

You can go into a dealer, and for less than the cost of a late-model base Cavalier you can get a bike that'll run 300km/h! Detector is a must, since of course, you have to "de-carbonize" the engine every now and then, eh?

    SmartAss,
You don't 'drive' a motorcycle, you 'ride' it! Same was as you don't ride an automobile.
I know it's a subtle difference, but those who ride motorcycles will understand my meaning.

I do not know about all that. I have seen people kill themselves on a motorcycle though

    Default Radar on bikes

Damn, if I didn't have a detector and laser jammer on my Harley I would had lost my license long ago! Cannot tell you how many times that has saved my butt!

Example two years ago, coming back from Sturgis through Colorado Springs. I was running around 100 coming down a hill when I heard a loud buzzer. Took me a second to figure out it was my Blinder. About that time saw a PD officer on the side of the road trying to shoot me with his gun with a look of disbelief on his face!

Slowed down and a half mile later they were flagging motorists over. Every other vehicle that was coming down the highway was pulled over but me.

Would they not have left you go since you used to be a police officer? Have you ever got a speeding ticket?
