Default Can laser pick up sportbikes?

Maybe a stupid question but, i always wondered if they could or would they be very hard to lock on and get a reading?

    Takes less than a second...

Slap some Veil on the bike, make sure you have your reflective surfaces covered and you close the gap before they get a lock.

I ride an FJR not exactly a sportbike but got nailed at 600 feet by an LTI 20/20 (older model).

There's a video on the Veil forum of a black blackbird running by a Lidar gun with no reading obtained but I wouldnt expect to get this kind of results. Defintely use Veil it will make it much harder for the cops to get a lock.

Targeting a bike with laser is a lot harder than targeting a car.
During the GOL testing I would try to get speed readings on motorcycles that would come by and they had to be closer than the cars to get a reading.
You have a lot less mass to aim at.

I wouldn't go by the misguided myth that seems to exist on the motorcycle forums that sport bikes are immune to laser. The exception being LA Stealth mode. They can barely get a lock on a car with stealth mode so a sport bike might be too stealth for stealth mode to get a lock.

Granted it may be a little harder to get a lock with laser, but they will get a lock.

The headlite reflectors on motorcycles have improved greatly and this works against you in Lidar encounters. I know one of the motorcycle journalists in Toronto got clocked at 436 metre on a SV1000 so they can get you.

My X50 had alerted me of laser at much over 1,000' the leo targeted me for about 12 -15 seconds (-4 seconds of x50 laser winddown time). This was without Veil. Since then I have applied Veil.

I read somewhere that its pretty easy to nail a sports bike with those huge reflective lenses on the front. Veil may help that quite a bit.

Will it be harder to get a reading if the headlight is angled back and curves around ,like on a BMW K1200GT? I suppose if it is ,then they would go for the windshield is this right?
