Default New improved radar gun or well trained trooper?

Hello, I had an experience wednesday on my way to the university.

I got a quick instant of Ka from about 1/4mi away as I saw a new state trooper car parked in the center of the highway. I wasent speeding luckily, but from my experience while riding my bike, cops seems to gun me longer than what this guy did. Usually 5 seconds or more. This guy was just 1 second and from a lengthy distance than what troopers normaly scan me from too.
Is this because of a better RadarGun or just a well trained new trooper in the area?

Possibly a deliberate quick trigger, and the other possiblity is that it was on longer than your detector sounded an alert, making you think it was a short burst when it really wasn't. Was your PNI operating on battery power, or hooked to your bike?

I have it hardwired to the bike, it has been very responsive in the past. Only been pulled over by being paced by an unmarked camero trooper at night.
