    Default radar screamer

anyone here uses a radar screamer? i'm thinking about getting one but afraid that the loudness would be too disturbing/annoying when i'm at a stop or riding at low speeds.

yeah, i got my hands on one but i'm not using it now.

the thing is loud, nearly blew my ear drums off when i was testing it.

in terms of hearing it, it works really well. i tested it on my bike going about 90 in third gear at about 8000 rpm and i could hear the thing pretty damn clear with my full face helmet on.

what i don't like about it is that it's so damn loud that it startled me when it went off while riding around town where engine, wind, and surrounding noises are low.

i think you'll still be able to hear it with your headphones on if it's not in full blast.

instead i'm going to take an old pair of head phones and a strip of leds, hook them together and put the strip of leds at the top of my windscreen. then when the detector picks somthing up the leds will light up.

i'll post pics, and let you all know how it works once i get it installed
