First off, I do not now and never have worked for the owner of this forum or any other company that sells or in any way profits from the sale of radar detectors, or mounting hardware. I do know that Cycle Gadgets of Eureka Springs, AR sells a great mounting bracket and wiring to pipe radar signals into motorcycle helmets. I know that the bracket works exceptionally well with a V-1 but do not know about other units. I am pleased as punch with mine. Some companies offer clear plastic cases to provide water resistance. I think one of them is Cycle Gadgets though I never felt the need for one.

    1) I agree. Cycle Gadgets has some neat stuff. I use their magnetic mounting system, attached to a ram ball, to mount my V1 on my bike.

    2) I had thought about that clear case but I didn't like the idea of all the heat that the case retains. I leave my V1 exposed and if I see rain coming, I just unplug it, twist it off the mount and stick in my jacket pocket.

I don't speed in the rain.
