Plans for four new speed traps unveiled

Safety camera bosses today unveiled plans for up to four new speed traps on county roads — but axed proposals for two cameras on routes in the south of the county.

The A458 between Cross Houses and Much Wenlock and the B4364 from Ludlow to Bridgnorth look likely to get two of the mobile speed cameras.

Two more could be heading for stretches of the A525 from Whitchurch to Wrexham.

But after completing a major traffic survey, the West Mercia Safety Camera Partnership has scrapped plans for cameras on the A442 between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster and B4371 from Much Wenlock to Church Stretton.
