Frisco Activates Red Light Cameras

(CBS 11 News) FRISCO The Frisco Police Department activated red-light cameras Saturday as part of its new campaign to catch red light runners.

Cameras have been installed at two intersections: Dallas Parkway at Main Street and Dallas Parkway at Gaylord Parkway. There are plans for a 3rd installation at Dalllas Parkway at Warren Parkway.

The cameras not only take pictures of the violation, but they also record video six seconds before and six seconds after the violation.

There will be a 30-day warning period. When the warning period expires, violators will face a $75 fine.
