Red-light camera activated Monday

STOCKTON - The Stockton Police Department is expanding its red-light surveillance program with a camera at the intersection of Airport and Charter ways that became operational Monday.
Police have placed 14 cameras at intersections throughout Stockton since the red-light enforcement program began in July 2004.
Drivers caught on tape running red lights at Airport and Charter will be ticketed immediately; there is no grace period for the new camera.
