WELDON SPRING, Mo. - A 27-year-old Missouri state trooper was injured following a wreck Monday morning in St. Charles County.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Missouri Route 94 near Interstate 64. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the trooper saw a motorcycle driver make an illegal U-turn and tried to make his own U-turn to catch up with the motorcycle. Passengers in the truck and the third vehicle suffered minor injuries. The trooper was more seriously hurt, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Names of the trooper and others involved have not been released. The Highway Patrol said the trooper has been with the patrol for one year.
