Cops Take Aim at Speeders

Ottawa Police nabbed 33-hundred speeders on the Capital's roads last month.

It was part of the Integrated Road Safety Program to reduce traffic fatalities or serious injuries by 30 per cent by 2010.

Officers also issued 233 charges for failing to buckle up.

This month, Officers are targeting Red Light Running and Tailgaters.

In 2005, 868 reported collisions on Ottawa roads were the result of drivers failing to stop for red lights.
