Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers To Monitor Interstate-40

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ There will be no shortage of state troopers along Interstate 40 over Thanksgiving weekend.

Agencies from Oklahoma and seven other states will be stepping up its presence along the interstate, from North Carolina to California.

Dubbed Operation CARE for Combined Accident Reduction Effort, the operation will run Wednesday through Sunday.

During that time, agencies will have troopers every ten miles for the more than 2,500 miles of I-40 between Wilmington, North Carolina, and Barstow, California.
