Reno police plan saturation traffic patrols today throughout the city to reduce injuries and deaths.

Spokesman Steve Frady said police will have "zero tolerance" for speeding, including in neighborhoods where the limit is 25 mph.

He said January showed a 41 percent reduction in the number of reported injury traffic accidents on Reno streets compared with the same month in 2006 and a 42 percent reduction in the number of persons injured.
