Police have been out in Idaho Falls for a month now ticketing drivers who follow too closely.
Police saw the need after a study showed 17th Street in Idaho Falls as the highest injury crash rate in the entire state of Idaho.
Police say they have done eight "following too closely" saturations on 17th street.
In each of those, they have averaged between 40 and 50 citations.
If you are pulled over during one of these saturation patrols, you will be given a ticket. It will be a moving violation and will cost you $62.
