May 3 - KGO - In the East Bay, police in Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda begin a traffic crackdown today on speeders.
They're targeting major streets and roadways after an increase of deadly accidents in the region this year. A 17-year old girl was killed in March after crashing her car into a pole on Rheem Boulevard in Moraga.

Officers will set up speed trailers in target areas to let drivers know how fast they're going. Authorities from the three cities are combining forces to maintain patrols in the region at all hours.
