Using Cameras To Catch Speeders

There's new debate about high-tech methods used to catch speeders. If you're speeding, a camera takes a picture of your car, and you get a ticket in the mail.

Law enforcement officers in Marble Falls are now using these cameras to catch a lot of people driving too fast.

"Two of them were on 1431 going to Kingsland. The other one was 1431, coming from Kingsland. And a third one was on Marble Falls bridge leaving town," said driver Bryan Gantt.

Gantt was one of dozens of people challenging his tickets in court on Thursday, calling the camera unfair and obtrusive.

Some lawmakers agree.

Legislators in the Texas House have passed a bill to ban the cameras.
