New speed cameras operational

Speed cameras are now operational at four new sites across Canberra, the ACT government has confirmed.

Fixed red light and speed cameras have been installed at the intersections of Canberra Avenue and Captain Cook Crescent and Manuka Circle, as well as Gunghalin and Gundaroo Drives.

Speed cameras have also been installed on the Tuggeranong Parkway near the Cotter Road Overpass, and on the southbound side of the Federal Highway, approaching the Antill Street roundabout.

Municipal services minister John Hargreaves said the installation of more cameras was progressing at another seven sites, including three on the Monaro Highway, two on the Barton Highway, and one on the northbound side of the Federal Highway.
