Arkansas State Police is stepping up enforcement Aug. 17-Sept. 3 in a Labor Day holiday enforcement campaign.
The campaign includes sobriety checkpoints and extra patrols, according to an Arkansas State Police news release.

In 2006, more than 15,000 people died in highway crashes involving a driver with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 of 1 percent or higher, according to the release.
