Hartford High School plans driver ed course
Published: Friday, September 28, 2007
The Hartford High School driver's education course and the Hartford Police Department will host a driver training course for high school students on Wednesday.
As part of the class, students will drive a golf cart on a set course - first under normal driving conditions, then while wearing goggles that will simulate impaired driving. This is designed to show how driving under the influence impairs motor skills and depth perception.
The students will also learn about speed enforcement, and will use the Hartford Police Department's Lidar and Radar speed detection devices.
