    Default New Jersey Drivers beware!

Last night on the local news they did a story about NJ State Troopers giving out some 40% more speeding tickets on the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike this year compared to last. Reason being that the Troopers assigned to other duties are now back on the road, enforcing speed laws. They have begun a speed/wreckless driving crackdown for the Summer and plan on boosting ticketing for those who speed, etc.
So get that detector ready, Veil coated on the lights because they are coming!! Of course I don't advocate speeding, but be careful not to fall into this money-making trap. A $300 RD and an $80 can of Veil will help you avoid a speeding ticket that will cost you much more.

I hope they make it a point to go after only the people who really need to be ticketed. E.g. those who weave through lanes, don't signal, tailgate, and gab on their cell phones instead of paying attention. Stupidity kills, not speed.

You're right, but unfortunately although speed doesn't necessarily kill, it does cost. It's almost certain this crackdown is to boost revenues, not to make the roads safer.

If cops gave a ticket to every car that pulls out in front of me when I have the right of way, they'd make twice as much revenue as they do from catching speeders.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?
