Pasadena, CA - On Friday, February 15, 2008, the Pasadena Police Department will conduct a Speed Enforcement Program from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm throughout the City.
“The Pasadena Police Department is committed to reducing the number of traffic collisions resulting from speed and aggressive driving,” says Chief of Police Christopher Vicino. “We know that there is a high correlation between speed and the degree of serious injury and mortality. Our goal is not just to reduce the speed, but to save lives. To that end, we are committed to using these enforcement tools with the hope of changing unsafe habits of drivers who may not realize the consequences of this kind of dangerous driving“.
These programs are funded through the Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
