Milwaukie PD latest to use photo radar enforcement

MILWAUKIE, Ore. (AP) - The Milwaukie Police Department has become the latest agency to use photo radar enforcement to enforce speed laws in the city.

Under approval of the Oregon State Legislature last year, Milwaukie Police are scheduled to begin enforcement March 25th.

The photo radar unit will be positioned at various locations throughout the city and will be focusing on identified problem areas.

Speed law violators are subject to fines from $145 up to $615. This effort has been coupled with the hiring of 2 new traffic officers.
