Cops watching for speeders on Highway 151
The extra patrols will run from August 15 to August 24
Thursday, August 14, 2008
Cops are stepping up patrols of Highway 151.
There have been complaints of excessive speeding along the highway from Fond du Lac to Platteville.
Sheriff's deputies from all the counties along that stretch will be part of the effort for the next nine days. The Wisconsin State Patrol will also participate.
In Dane County, a six-person team will patrol the highway from August 15 to August 24.
Cops have been directed to issue tickets to violators so accurate statistics on the extent of speeding on the highway can be developed.
