KENNEWICK, Wash-- It's a crackdown on speeding. The Benton-Franklin Traffic Safety Task Force will be patrolling the streets closely, looking for drivers that are going too fast.
Officers in the Tri-Cities will be keeping an eye on State Route 240 and US Highway 395, and other major roadways.
It's all part of a statewide enforcement called X-52. The Tri-Cities got more than $30,000 to fund the overtime patrols.
Officers remind drivers speeding could end up in a serious or even deadly crash.
