    Default Gatso parabolic radar

Following successful tests in the Netherlands, Gatsometer BV is to supply parabolic radar for traffic enforcement.

Gatso’s lane-dedicated parabolic radar is a pencil-beam radar designed for overhead gantry installation and is used with the Gatso DRCS digital camera system to provide highly accurate speed measurement for an individual lane.

This versatile equipment is installed 6-7m above each lane and can be used in a fixed configuration using either battery or mains power. Cameras can be networked, with each camera working individually, controlled remotely from the back office. The cameras capture images for each lane and are optimised for ANPR, making the licence plate easier to read. For optimum efficiency, the equipment is installed at a 30o downward angle. A specially-designed gantry housing is also available.

Managing Director of Gatsometer, Timo Gatsonides, says, “The pressure of increasing motorway traffic and the need for enforcement will initiate a growing need for gantry mounted enforcement equipment.”

i wonder if it will be k band radar!

another thing if its high mounted you get maximum radar scatter range!

v1 on the m25 detected the gantry cameras from 26 seconds away at 80mph!

thats 35 meter / second, so thats 928 meters warning to gantry mounted k band gatsos on the m25!

There was an artical in bbc topgear mag nov 2002 which i have about the ttc...

not long after this it all got to much for frank, because he compared koos spee the bloke head of the cameras over their to hitler!

and also because they were using the name tuftuf club some book writer was suing him because they have legal right over the tuf tuf name!

he left and closed the ttc, but harold his mate decided to take over the ttc and they called it the http://www.onzinboetes.nl/ and they toned the gatso vandalisim down!
