Four new speed cameras to catch fast drivers

FOUR new speed cameras have been installed in Malaga since the beginning of the week, to monitor the speed of traffic passing through the city. They have been sited in Avenida de Andalucia, Paseo Maritimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Avenida Valle-Inclan and Calle Pacifico. Drivers will be alerted to their presence by vertical signposts.
The Councillor for Mobility, Juan Ramon Casero, said that the goal is to increase safety on the streets and prevent drivers from speeding.
These four cameras caught an average of 1,000 drivers a day during the test period. One speed-loving driver was caught doing 154 kilometres per hour on the Avenida de
